What cause the deformation of injection product

According to the molecular structure of plastic resins, plastics can be divided into two categories: the crystalline plastics and non crystalline (or amorphous) plastics. The main difference between crystalline and non crystalline plastics is from a molten state to the condensation, resin molecules can form a certain ordered design. If it can form a kind of regular arrangement, known as the crystalline, otherwise says it shows non crystalline.

There is a significant difference between crystalline plastics and non crystalline plastics, not only in mechanical properties, but also in the viscous flow transition from glass to state, their contraction rate difference is very big, crystalline plastic shrinkage rate is usually 210 times of the non crystalline plastics shrinkage.  　　

At the same time, the crystalline plastics, if cooling rate of each part is not consistent, it can also cause the crystalline parts within the product have different degrees of internal stress, the difference in crystallinity will WIP, resulting in the deformation and cracking products. Therefore,  for the crystalline plastics, Mold cooling system design is an important aspect related to the product the deformation degree.

In addition to the resin raw materials, mechanics usually add some padding to improve plastic electrical, optical and thermal properties. These fillers in injection molding due to the shear flow will form the molecular orientation. Analysis of the fiber orientation distribution is given by using the Mold flow software. Orientation will make the products in different directions on the shrinkage rate have significant differences.

Therefore, for the glass fiber reinforced plastic products, non uniform orientation of packing is often the main cause product deformation. In practice, in order to improve or eliminate the deformation of products resulting from this, people usually adopt measures to change the position of gate and adjust injection speed etc.

So The effect of deformation of injection product has 5 factors, respectively is: forming material, forming method, product design, mold design and injection molding process conditions.

Surface printing treatment of plastic product

一, Printing

there are several ways to print on the plastic product surface

1, Silkscreen printing

This method is the most common one, It generally suitable for plane or arc small printing.

2, Curved surface printing

Principle of surface printing:

Curved surface printing is put the ink into a carved gravure with characters or patterns, then the text or pattern copy onto the curved surface, the surface will transfer the text or pattern onto the molding surface, finally by heat treatment or ultraviolet light irradiation to make it solid.

Surface printing process:

A. molding degreasing

B. Surface treatment of molding (if necessary)

D. The curing process of ink

E. coating over after treatment (if necessary)

A. ink in gravure.

B. scrape off the excess ink

Pad Printing

The version of the text or patterns is printed on the sheet or roll, then transfer the text or patterns on the sheet or roll onto the moulding surface.

Advantages:  Applying several color in one operation.

Disadvantages: low productivity and cannot obtain stronger opaque printing trace.

3, Hot stamping

WIth the colorful foil and hot mould with patterns or text, in the control of temperature and pressure, by using the method of manufacturing color embossed pattern or font on the molding surface. Its operation is only arranged to press across the foil on products.

二, Spray coating

The most commonly used methods of treating color on plastic surface, it can be divided into below points:

A, The most common way,spray the color by hand. But it do not have strong friction resistance, and easy off the paint.

B, PU light oil. This kind of method is in the dried bottom paint, and then spray a layer of PU light oil to rub and gloss. General household electrical appliances or daily necessities is processed by PU.

C, UV light oil, This kind of method is in the dried bottom paint,and then to spray a layer of UV light oil. Glossiness, touch feeling and friction resistance can achieve very good results. General mobile phone mold products are process in this way.

三，Plating

That is using the way of electrolytic in which metal or alloy deposition on the surface of the workpiece, so as to form a uniform, dense, and good metal layer, called electroplating. Simple to understand, is a physical and chemical change or binding.

The analysis and solving method of two step bottle blowing principle

In the high end market of bottle, generally made by two step bottle blowing method, That means it is divided into two steps, also called the injection stretch blow moulding. It needs to inject the bottle preform firstly, then blow the bottle preform into bottles.

Because it is to process the blowing bottle with the bottle preform, so the quality of the preform is very important. "One can't make bricks without straw", If there is no good meters, that is not easy to make a good meal, SO the bottle preform is not good, it is hard to blow a good bottle.

Usually some problems easily occur in the process of blowing bottle. Such as blow a broken bottle, All raw materials are gathering at the bottom of the bottle, the bottle bottom is not straight, the bottle wall is too thin, bottle turn white etc. How to distinguish the problem is from blowing bottle step or bottle preform. Now we are analyzing from different status of blowed bottle.

一, Reasons of blowing broken bottle:

1, germ tube heating is not enough, no roast;

2, stretching rod didn't pull in place (end);

3, stretching rod speed is too slow;

4,In the circumstance of the temperature protection but temperature limit is set too high.

Solution:

1, To increase the voltage under the stable yield. To reduce output when voltage is unchanged, that means lengthen the time of two time blowing.

2, Put the air out while closing the mold, hand stretching rod to die bottom and touch the die bottom, tightening the limiting nut. (limited to mechanical limit cylinder regulation).

3, The throttle on the drawing cylinder to maximum.

4, To lower floor limited temperature, generally PET preform is set to 85~95, upper limit can be set to 125~130.

二, The accumulation of material, that is many material gathering together at the bottom.

1, Generally delayed blowing time is too long, or one time blowing is too long;

2, The bottle bottom is not baked soft,large temperature difference with other placement.

The solution:

1, Reducing the delayed blowing time, general dosage is 0.3 seconds, according to the situation to increase or decrease.

2, Pinch the preform by hand, to see if the bottom is also very hard, If yes, heighten the corresponding light.

三, The bottle bottom is not straight:

1, The stretching rod speed too slow;

2, The delayed time is not enough;

3, the preform serious eccentricity.

Solution:

1, Put the throttle  on stretching cylinder to maximum;

2, Lengthen delayed blowing time;

3, Test the eccentricity of the bottle preform. (Eccentricity is too large, to a certain extent, the preform will become bent);

4, Including the temperature protection.

四, The bottle wall is too thin

1, If the bottle bottom nozzle is in the middle placement, It may be the preform problem, or the injection mold cooling water.

2, in some places there is no rotation.

The solution:

1, Test by other cavity perform, modify injection molding or injection molding process.

2, To see which perform seat do not rotate, If found, fix the autorotation chain, and make all the heating area of the perform in a good performance.

五,Bottle turn into white

Reasons:

1, The voltage is too high, the bottle body or local placement is ceramic white.

2, the voltage is not enough, resulting in no roast, the bottle body or the local placement is pearl white. 

Solution:

The voltage is too high and decrease  Voltage, the voltage is too low and heighten voltage.
